Inclusive Education Cafe’s are back!

The school year is kicking-off right around Australia and that means so to are our professional learning sessions.

Inclusive Education Cafe’s are accessible and affordable professional learning webinars that cover topics identified by our School Inclusion Network for Educators (SINE) members.

This year we are commencing with a session focused on planning for personalised learning and support.

Planning for personalised learning and support is an important aspect of inclusive education provision as the process supports schools to maximise the learning outcomes and wellbeing of students. The planning process focuses on providing access to and participation in high-quality education, so that all students are included in the regular curriculum alongside peers and are empowered to contribute and learn across all schooling experiences.

This Café will focus on practical understanding of the purpose of personalised learning, including the link to the requirements of the Disability Standards for Education (DSE). Inclusive practices and approaches to supporting the development of personalised learning plans will be explored, and a range of examples will be provided. Links to recommended resources and follow up readings will also be detailed.
