School Inclusion – From theory to practice provides quality professional learning, consultancy services and network opportunities aimed at enhancing the confidence and capability of education professionals to enact innovative and transformative inclusive education practices.

We’re here to support you!

We work with education professionals, schools, and systems to provide professional learning and consultancy services that are contextual and impactful in advancing school improvement and inclusive education practices.

Our work is underpinned by highly qualified and experienced inclusive education leaders and practitioners who have designed and lead inclusive school reform, and who have engaged in the sustained transformation of practices at the classroom, whole of school, and system levels.

What can we help with?

We are experienced at providing high-quality professional learning and consultancy relating to inclusive education practices. This includes leading inclusive school reform and school improvement, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), curriculum adjustments, effective instructional practices and pedagogy, personalised learning and support plans, co-teaching, the use of teaching assistants, Multi-tier Systems of Support (MTSS), supporting students with complex learning profiles, and National Consistent Collection of Data for School Students with Disabilities (NCCD).

    Professional Learning

    School Inclusion provides professional learning services that are innovative and practical, transforming the theory and fundamental concepts of inclusive education into actionable and sustainable practice. School Inclusion offers webinars, full and half day workshops, online courses, and conference presentations.

    Consultancy Services

    School Inclusion provides dynamic consultancy services to schools and educators. Consultancy services are customised, focusing on personalised support to address the necessary knowledge and practices required to successfully include all students. Consultancy can be provided in-school or via online video conferencing platforms.

    Network Opportunities

    School Inclusion facilitates The School Inclusion Network for Educators (SINE). SINE is a leading national network of education professionals committed to the realisation of inclusive education. The network provides members with a collaborative and supportive opportunity to ask questions and to share information, resources, tips and ideas.

    School Inclusion’s work has impacted the confidence and capability of education professionals and schools right around Australia!

    We have worked on large-scale inclusive education projects, across entire schooling districts/regions, and with individual schools and educators.

    We have supported education professionals and schools from across government and non-government systems, and across early childhood, primary, and secondary school sectors.

    Loren Swancutt

    School Inclusion – From theory to practice was founded by Loren Swancutt, a specialist in the field of inclusive education. Loren draws on extensive experience as a classroom teacher, school leader, and system level coach to support schools, educators, and parents to advance inclusive education practices.
